LEARNING

Our Cause is Hope!

Christian Education is part of the promises we make at baptism – to continue in the apostles’ teaching as we seek and serve Christ in all persons.

KIDS @ St Jude’s

At St Jude’s we have a lively Sunday school program which meets during  our 10:30 am celebration of Holy Eucharist.  Sunday school meets in the Britton Room.  One of the Sidespeople or Greeters will be able to help you get there.  Parents are welcome to attend.

Under the direction of our coordinator Monique Hodge and her volunteers, our children use the SPARK curriculum to activate their faith.

Apart from learning the stories of the Bible they also learn more about Christian faith through visual media and crafts.

The Sunday school program is currently not meeting due to precaution for Covid-19 cases in the community and will be revisiting when we enter the Green phase of Covid-19 protocols.

Adult Christian learning @ St Jude’s

Growing in faith each day together as a community is something we enjoy. We offer various opportunities for continued learning experiences to deepen our faith. Together we share our own experiences of God in our lives. Together we learn how others can inform how God continues to inspire humanity. Together  we discover how God enriches our relationships through Scripture.

MORE EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES:

REEL FAITH  @ ST JUDE’S

Each film will be shown in English with Spanish subtitles whenever that option is available.

reel

This year we explore some of the amazing work done by American actor Robin Williams. We will explore the many gifts he brought to the big screen through comedy and drama. We will experience how the scope of work provoked people to see the world with new eyes; as we both laughed and cried with the characters he portrayed.

We hope to transport you to many places where faith can be seen through the lens of film.

Come to the movies and discuss your faith!

There is no admission price – popcorn, licorice and other refreshments available.

Films will start at 3:30pm and will be shown in the Britton Room (unless otherwise notified).
