Do you buy groceries, gas, household items, shop at department stores, do you eat in at restaurants, go to the movies or need gifts for holidays, birthday and special events?
FundScrip is a fundraising program that lets the Church of St. Jude (Wexford) raise much needed funds simply by purchasing gift cards to the stores you are already shopping at.
For example: you purchase a $100 grocery card and you will receive a $100 grocery card and a percentage of your purchase will be donated to the Church of St. Jude (Wexford).
We encourage you to invite your family members, friends, co-workers and neighbours to participate in FundScrip as well. After all, they probably buy groceries and gas just like you do.
How does this work?
1. Download/print form and fill it out with the quantity of cards for each retailer and sum up your order total (there are also printed paper forms available in the office).
2. Payment in 3 modes: Cash, Cheque or E-Transfer (refer to description below).
3. Drop off your payment + filled order form in a labeled + sealed envelope in the secure Mailbox at the Church of St. Jude (wexford).
OR
Submit the filled order form with a note that an E-transfer was sent.

Office Hours. The parish office is open Tuesday to Friday from 9:00am – Noon.
Our Food Bank. The Deacon’s Pantry Food Bank is open every Wednesday (10:00am – Noon) as an essential service to our community.
Monthly Bilingual services. On the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month we celebrate the cultural diversity of our parish in more intentional way, using (and providing) both English and Spanish throughout the service.
Bible Buddies Sunday School is back! Our Sunday school program resumes this weekend. Please meet the teachers in the Britton Room at 10:30am.
CHW Helping Hands. Helping Hands will be returning on September 16. Weekly meetings are held on Wednesdays in the Britton Room starting at 12:30pm.
Holy Rollers. Our indoor carpet bowling group meets on Fridays at 9:45am in the Hall. All are welcome.
Blessing of the Animals service. To honour the life and mission of St Francis of Assisi, we will hold a blessing of the animals service on Sunday September 27, 2026 at 2:00pm. Please share the flyer available. All are welcome to attend.
Next Generation Ministry: Ignite. The weekly meetings of our Deanery Next Generation Ministry will begin meeting at St Timothy, Agincourt on Wednesday 23. This ministry includes a Children’s program (for those in grades 3-6), and a Parent’s Cafe. Spread the word and see you there!
All Candidates meeting. The upcoming municipal election will be held on Monday October 26. With guidance from the Diocese, we are planning to hold an All Candidates meeting on Wednesday October 7 at 7:00pm.
Bus Trip to Stratford. We hope to have a bus trip in early fall to see a matinee performance of “Something Rotten,” a hilarious musical at the Stratford Festival, co-starring Starr Domingue. Date and group rate ticket price to be confirmed. Speak to Kathy Domingue for more information.
Prayers during the week at St Jude’s. Throughout the year, we live-stream prayer services on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday in both English and Spanish (they also get linked to the homepage of our website).

Supporting the life and ministry of St Jude’s. As we continue this season initiated by the gift of the Holy Spirit among us, we are reminded of the many ways we are inspired to do the work rooted in that gift through generosity and hospitality. As we approach the half point in the year, the Corporation is deeply grateful for your ongoing support to the life and work of the parish.
Last week we held 4 online services engaging people looking for prayer and connection. We also provided food to 60 households (representing 214 individuals), with 1 new family registered on Wednesday September 9. As we celebrate God’s abundant new life and mercy to us all at St Jude’s, we thank you for supporting the life and mission we all bring to this part of God’s garden.
